Client Spotlight: Trilby Hillenbrand

As a former kindergarten teacher, I love when I get the opportunity to work with other teachers and former teachers who are using their skills as educators to make an impact through business! I loved working with Trilby Hillenbrand of STEM in the Middle to bring her branding vision to life.

Trilby is a school teacher and Teacher Seller who creates resources for Middle School STEM and Science teachers to use in their classrooms. When Trilby came to me, she had a DIY version of branding that (in her own retelling) she hadn’t been using very intentionally to market her business.

Trilby wanted a professional, stem-inspired brand that would make her buyers feel like they were coming to an expert who would give them high quality, easy-to-use materials.

She also wanted to take advantage of a VIP intensive to get her branding delivered in 48 hours or less so she could quickly update her Teachers Pay Teachers storefront and start rebranding her resources.

Prior to our VIP session, Trilby selected some color palettes and font selections from my collection that she thought might be representative of the brand direction she wanted to take. She also filled out a brand questionnaire, and I did a deep-dive of her niche market to strategize about her brand positioning.

We got together for our session and worked through honing in on her voice and vision, talked about her selections, and decided together on the right direction for her branding. Then, the fun began!

I got started right away on crafting her branding and delivered the concept to her the next morning. Trilby was instantly thrilled with the designs, so I got her final files together and sent them her way.
